Ordinarily you'll find lots of things on the website, like booklets I wrote and stapled myself, booklets I got other people to write and stapled myself, and cartoons that never saw a staple at all. But since it seems like my Labours project is being featured in Dazed and Confused this month, and I'd really like a lot more people to read it, I've decided to strip the site down to just that for a few weeks. Hopefully you'll choose to be one of those people who read it. Labours is a series of twelve pieces of writing inspired by the twelve tasks of Heracles in Greek mythology. The pieces are not written as chapters with a single narrative arc, but instead take quite different forms from one another. Labour Four, for example, The Boar of Erymanthos, is written as a cartoon script; while Nine, The Girdle of the Amazon Queen, is in Brazilian Portuguese. All the same, images and phrases recur between the twelve parts to make an interwoven whole.
