Links

This list of links is a mix of friends, things I like, and zine resources. It's a really mixed bag so just snaffle around and see what you find. If you get lost out there and want to come home to Cartilage, it's here. If you think you might not come back later and you're going to forget this place ever existed, email me at dotdashdash.dashdash@gmail.com and let me know to put you on the mailing list. Then I'll remind you every so often.

Anyway, without further ado, why not visit:

My Myspace
In all honesty not much more than a number of ways back here again. Add me if you're on there, yknow, that sort of thing.

Goldfish
Goldsmiths College's Creative Writing anthology. I'm on there in a couple of places if you look around. The book features two chapters of Labours, archived in pdf form here. Several Attack!!!! contributors are fellow graduates from the same programme.

Gethan's website
Gethan is one of said Attack!!!! contributors. Here is a lot of her other stuff!

This pdf magazine
With some of Erica's pre-Attack!!!! poetry on it. Bellyache
The currently (perhaps forever) silent ezine of my good friend Ruth Moog. Should she make another website I'll link to that instead. In the meantime, Bellyache Volume 1 is the best archive of 2005 there is anywhere in the world. Honest...

Choke forum
The best music forum in the world. So many musicians I love post there that I'm hesitant to share it for fear of too many people sharing in the secret. But I'm not popular enough myself for that to be a real worry so.. pssst.. this is where the good stuff is.

Big Joan
One of said groups of musicians. I've only seen them live twice but both times they made me grin so much it was almost painful.

The Glastonbury Unsigned page
I keep this page updated for Glastonbury Festival. Cos I do all sorts for that competition, and stuff.

Chet
A splendid band.

Duke Raoul, Scouting for Girls, Japanese Intelligence Mind Control
More music

Decode
Bristol-based arts magazine. Sometimes I write music reviews for them.

Artrocker
Sometimes I write reviews for them too, and they were very nice about Genesis

Josh Doyle
Josh is a great friend of mine from college who made the charts a few times when he was in the DumDums. The DumDums tracks were on the whole better the more obscure they were.. their singles were not as good as their album tracks were not as good as their b-sides were not as good as the stuff that never got officially released. Josh is doing some new stuff now with a new band.. the tiny clip I've heard of this sounds awesome. Be warned if you befriend him on Myspace he will spam you to death. But if you don't he'll recruit his friends to do it anyway so you might as well. He is inescapable like the Borg.

Tony Hall
Another friend from an earlier college. Tony is a brilliant artist, he makes beautiful things out of slightly mad experiments. And sometimes strange illusory things. Once he made a neverending whirlpool in a coffee cup. No really!

The International Owl Project
Too shrouded in mystery for me to comment.

Public Relations Exercise
Fantastically raucous, but deceptively intelligent, rock.

Ralfe Band
Oly Ralfe is a sometime contributor to Attack!!!!. The band are a gem.

Ricochet!Ricochet!
A fun distro. In the past my zines have appeared there for less than I actually sold them to them for, so they have to be worth a look.

Jason Sho Green
I've been trying to get Jason to contribute to Attack!!!! for a while. One day he'll find the time, I have faith.

Nicky Deely
Her too!

The Subways
One of my friends was very upset about this link being here. Ha! See how I ignore your impeccable taste in music, Jo!

Ellen Tovey
Ellen is a brilliant painter I've known since we were kids.

Two Flints
I've snaffled one or two Attack!!!! contributors from Two Flints. Each issue appears online with a bunch of original poems accompanied by a bunch of original illustrations from different people. Nice concept and it gets some nice work. That said, it's nearly always asleep. Then again so is Cartilage

Of course, you could always just stay here.
