Resolution No. 9
Circumscribing my blatantly pathological desire to commence sentences with superfluous qualifying clauses, I resolve to eliminate - or perhaps to ameliorate - my habitual tendency towards pompous verbosity, complex parenthetical flourishes (which, more often than not, augment neither the information content nor the auditory flow of the text) and inordinately long and convoluted sentence constructions, in an endeavour to clarify and demystify, rather than discombobulate, the meaning of my verbal perambulations in order that they might be more readily and happily comprehended and aesthetically appreciated by those of my readers who possess the patience - nay, the stubborn endurance - to follow the concatenation of each of my brief literary forays to its culminating consummation.
